Who is God?
The most important decision we’ll make is whether to invite God into our lives, so it’s essential to understand who He is and the impact he can genuinely make.

The Bible teaches us that there is only one true God (John 17:3) and that He is the Creator and Designer of the entire universe (Psalms 146:6). As part of that complex, yet delicate universe, God created humanity with the express intention of having a relationship with each person, for it is His will that He be connected with every part of our lives (Psalm 37:23 ).

For those who question the point of their lives or why they’re here on Earth at all, God says that we were created by Him and for Him… He has a purpose for us! And, 1 John 4:16 tells us that God not only loves us dearly, but that He is love, so if we decide to invite Him into our lives, we will experience His love fully.

It’s natural to question how God could love each of us, especially if we’ve made poor choices in the past. God loves people even in their worst moments because it is His nature to do so. Every decision He makes stems from His unconditional love (John 3:16). There is nothing we could ever do to make God stop loving us, nor is there anything we can do to make God love us any more than He already does (Romans 8:38-40).

In His undying love, God sent His son Jesus Christ to live among us and to die as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus – who was fully God and fully human – died on a cross and rose on the third day to conquer death, sin and destruction. He now lives eternally at God’s right hand and serves as our intercessor, our helper and our advocate so that we can have direct access to God and his salvation.
